STOP PRESS  The Keynote Address at our Conference and AGM will be provided by Chris Williamson, Labour MP for Derby North and Opposition Spokesman on Fire and Rescue, with the Fire Sector Partnership and the Consortium  also added to the programme. 

FIRESA  is delighted to announce its seventh Annual Conference and AGM which is taking place on Thursday 1st March at our Hampton, Middlesex headquarters. It is a free event and is open to non-members who wish to find out more about what we do. Anyone that would like to attend should drop a line to the Secretariat at dsmith@fia.uk.com   

FIRESA  is pleased to have been present at the Emergency Services Show at Stoneleigh Park over 23rd-24th November. Reports are of a vibrant show and certainly FIRESA received many enquiries at its stand. We are especially pleased to announce that AES/RIG Systems signed up for membership at the show;  AES offers electrical and comminications systems for specialist vehicles while their RIG business provides rope rescue, height working and water training equipment and services.   

FIRESA 's work in representing the supply sector in the wider fire and rescue landscape continues to grow. We remain active in the Fire Sector Partnership and its Procurement Sub-Group which is Chaired by our own Chairman, Dave Russell. We are also working closely with CFOA and a number of individual FRSs on several exciting initiatives that we hope to say more about very soon.   

FIRESA  is pleased to welcome another new member, Antares [Europe] Ltd, that has been supplying products and services to the UK Fire and Rescue Services for the last 18 years and is active in auxiliary power systems on New Dimension vehicles. 

We are delighted to announce that Emergency One [UK] Ltd has joined FIRESA . They are one of the biggest manufacturers of EN1846-compliant pumping appliances with a customer base covering many of the UK's Fire and Rescue Services as well as the MoD and private/industrial services.   

FIRESA  played host recently to a delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Government. Special thanks go to our Vice-Chairman, Gerry Styler, who presented on the UK Fire and Rescue Market and its Suppliers during their visit to the Fire Service College.

Sixth FIRESA AGM

 

FIRESA is delighted to report that the Sixth FIRESA Annual General Meeting and Conference proved a fantastic success.

 

Held on 16th March at our own premises in Hampton, members and guests enjoyed presentations on the work of FIRESA as well as on several key topics from our specially invited speakers. The Keynote Address was provided by the Fire Minister, Bob Neill, who we thank publicly for taking the time to present on issues facing our Fire and Rescue Services.
